Newlyn produced an emphatic display that saw them run out comfortable winners on the road with a excellent win at St Minver.
They opened the scoring inside five minutes from a Dan Ball strike that flew in past the home keeper before he could move, The visitors doubled their lead a few minutes later when Cam Burt found himself unmarked in the middle of the six yard box and he was able to head home Owen London's corner.
A disputed and seemingly harsh penalty award allowed St Minver to pull a goal back but Newlyn quickly restored their two goal advantage when Dan Woodgate flew through the air to head home a spectacular header from a Ben Lawrence cross.
The second half saw St Minver stifled by Newlyn and they were left to resort to inaccurate long range shots. Newlyn secured the points wit ha late Jack London penalty that he duly dispatched with aplomb.
