MATCH REPORT TO FOLLOW
Atrocious weather threatened to drastically affect this much-anticipated game and the heavy rain intensified through the first half. However the hosts revelled in the conditions and soon began to dominate. After a fairly even opening period, 3 goals in a 20-minute spell were to seal the points for the hosts. Owen London got a brace with 2 goals on 10 and 20 minutes, closely followed up by older brother Ross who netted on the half-hour.
After the interval the skies cleared and this saw a much closer game ensue. Second-half bookings for Parsonage, Thompson, Dingle and Symonds were all well-deserved as indiscipline crept into the Saints half with Minver making inroads into an increasingly complacent Saints. Keeper Prentice kept a much-deserved clean sheet and - to be honest - was rarely troubled on the day.
