St Newlyn East are sadly asking for any assistance following vandalism at our football pitch. At the start of the month our volunteers worked hard in their own time to repair and rebuild our valuable sponsors boards and support rails back in place for the start of the season that had been previously damaged in the winter storms.

Mindless individuals have now destroyed most of the rails on both halves of the pitch and left us unable to promote our valued sponsors and (due to the current financial climate) unable to now repair these ourselves.

This destroys our faith in the wider community and we can only guess at the mind set of those who see this sort of wanton disregard for the hard work and community spirit of others as somehow “fun”.
